On April 25th, 2015, a massive earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 devastated Nepal. The death toll is weighing down every day, thousands of people died and more than 8 million were left destitute by the damage caused by this disaster.
A team of LÉGER FOUNDATION volunteers, coordinated by our program manager for Asia, Anna Tyszkiewicz, will fly to Kathmandu today April 28. The Foundation’s humanitarian aid contribution will be through the distribution of drinking water, the installation of purification systems for water and temporary shelter. We will also support our partner organizations working on the ground in Nepal, as well as all those affected by the quake. This LÉGER FOUNDATION post-earthquake project will also provide psychosocial support to children in need in the affected areas.
