The LÉGER FOUNDATION is present in three Asian countries – India, the Philippines and Nepal – with seven projects.

 

Priorities

In Asia, the LÉGER FOUNDATION promotes the social inclusion and food security of marginalized populations.

 

Objectives

  • Increasing access to educational and professional opportunities to marginalised groups.
  • Enhancing the well-being of marginalized groups by improving their access to medical, psychological, social, and legal services.
  • Enabling the networking of organizations working with marginalized groups to increase the effectiveness of interventions with stakeholders and the state.

 

India

Projects

  • Support for economic self-reliance of the Little Flower Leprosy Welfare Association in Bihar, an organization that works for the well-being of people with leprosy – Little Flower
  • Core support to SWAYAM for the reduction of gender-based violence in West Bengal – SWAYAM
  • Therapeutic shelter home for rescued victims of sex trafficking in Hyderabad – PRAJWALA

 

The Philippines

Projects

  • Learning and resource center for the promotion and protection of children’s rights in Manila and the island of Mindoro – Stairway Foundation
