A mass to celebrate the memory of Cardinal Paul-Émile Léger

Paul-Émile Léger stood for and fought against poverty and social injustice. He began a movement to create innovative and engaging community-based initiatives to improve the well-being of vulnerable and marginalized persons, here at home and abroad. The LÉGER FOUNDATION continues Cardinal Paul-Émile Léger’s mission, offering hope, confidence and dignity to those in need. More than 30 million people, over 65 years, have benefited from the organization’s work thanks to your support.

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Cardinal Paul-Émile Léger’s passing, we invite you to a special mass, presided by the Archbishop of Montreal, Most Reverend Christian Lépine.

The eucharist celebration will be preceeded by a special video presentation, from 10:30 to 11:00 am. The doors of the Cathedral’s Crypt, where lie the mortal remains of Cardinal Paul-Émile Léger, will be open to the public throughout the day for devotion and prayers.
